Use the publication's voice and format
Follow contributor guidelines, heading style, examples, sourcing expectations and normal article depth. Do not force your own template onto every publisher.
Deliver the promised angle
Stay within the scope the editor accepted. A focused article is usually more useful than expanding into every related keyword.
Add original value
- A clear framework
- Examples you can substantiate
- First-party observations you actually have
- Useful references
- Decision criteria or steps a reader can apply
Link only where it helps
External references should support the reader. Promotional or paid links need appropriate handling and should not distort the article.
Edit before submission
Remove repetition, unsupported claims and sections that exist only to increase length. Make the editor's job easier.
